Kim wed Humphries to honour contract former publicist

wedding kardishian update
Kim Kardashian's former publicist Jonathon Jaxson has claimed that the socialite's 72-day marriage with basketball player Kris Humphries was something she never wanted to do.
Kim Kardashian's former publicist has fuelled speculation that the reality star's marriage to Kris Humphries was staged.
"Unfortunately they were obligated to honour contracts (with the E! network which had TV rights) otherwise they would have owed a lot of people a lot of money," Jaxson told on the television talk show Good Day LA. Jaxson worked with the 31-year-old between 2007 and 2009.

The couple got married in Montecito, California Aug 20 this year and Kim filed for divorce from Humphries Oct 31, reports contactmusic.com. Kardashian wed the pro basketball player back in August, but filed for divorce on October 31 after just 72 days of marriage. The couple have reportedly agreed to continue proceedings after make-or-break crisis talks failed last weekend.

Jonathan Jaxson, who represented Kardashian between 2007 and 2009, has now claimed that the 31-year-old only went through with the wedding due to her television deal with E! and numerous other contracts related to the big day.

"Two weeks prior to her wedding she knew it was not something she wanted to do," he told Good Morning LA. "Unfortunately they were obligated to honour contracts otherwise they would have owed a lot of people a lot of money."

On Kris Jenner's claim that her daughter made little money from the wedding, he added: "They had a lot of contracts, they had endorsements. To say they weren't paid is a lot of foolish garbage."

Earlier in the week, Jaxson alleged that Kardashian was still in love with her former partner Reggie Bush, whom she dated on-and-off between 2007 and March 2010.

He also admitted to staging several romantic moments between the former couple, including a ring-shopping trip that sparked rumours of their engagement.

Kardashian recently described reports that her marriage had been faked as "ridiculous", while E! said that the allegations were "completely false".
